Our Story
Old Glory Garage
A YouTube channel built on grease, grit, and a deep love for American iron.
How It Started
Born in a Two-Car Garage
Real Wrenching. Real Budgets. Zero Showroom Fluff. Welcome to the official home of Old Glory Garage.
Based out of a residential garage in Michigan, Old Glory Garage is built on a simple mission: keep classic American iron out of the scrap yard, build it affordably with your own two hands, and pass the wrenching torch to the next generation. Started by Frank Kennedy, this channel and shop aren't about six-figure showroom builds or spotless, climate-controlled mega-shops. It's about real-world DIY mechanics—wrestling 50-year-old sludge out of a Chevy 250 inline-six, swapping front clips, welding in patch panels, blasting rust in a cabinet, and making old workhorses run and drive again on a working-man's budget. Right now, our flagship project is bringing a rusty 1968/1969 Chevy C20 cab-and-chassis dually dump truck—complete with a 250 straight-six, Muncie SM465 4-speed, and Dana 70 rear—back from the dead. Alongside my shop supervisor Rocco (the dog) and occasional salvage yard runs with friends, we document every triumph, busted knuckle, and budget rebuild step-by-step on YouTube. Our Garage Rules are simple: - Save the Old Iron: Don't let classic trucks get crushed on your watch. - Build Within Your Means: You don't need fancy tools or a massive budget to build something you're proud of. - Respect Every Build: Do your own research, don't be afraid to ask for help, and have fun getting your hands dirty. Every piece of merch or sticker you grab from our store helps fund the next set of gaskets, patch panels, and primers to keep these old trucks rolling. Thanks for riding along!
We document every build from teardown to first drive. The good, the bad, and the ugly. No cherry-picked highlights just the real work it takes to bring a piece of American history back to life.
Behind the Wrench
Your Host
Founder & Lead Wrench
I've been turning wrenches since I was old enough to hold a socket. Grew up watching my dad restore a '77 Pontiac Trans Am, and that bug never left me.
Old Glory Garage is my way of keeping that tradition alive — and sharing it with anyone who's ever looked at a rusted-out hulk and seen potential instead of scrap.
Every build on this channel is done in my own garage, on my own time, with my own two hands. That's the only way I know how to do it.
